Dear Power Writers,
When I write, I actually see Jesus with my spiritual eyes sitting next to me to my right, looking at the computer screen with me. I sense Him guiding my thoughts. When I get stuck and don’t know what to write next, I ask, “Lord, what comes next?” He always tells me.
People often say to me that something I wrote–whether a short story, a poem, or an article–was exactly what they needed to read at that moment in time. They wonder how I knew. The truth is, I didn’t know. But Jesus did. I simply listened and obeyed.
Anointed writing comes not from ourselves but from Holy Spirit. It is He Who counsels us as we write. Without His Presence, our writing would be flat and lifeless. With His Presence, our writing not only comes to life, but it also gives life.
How can we receive Holy Spirit’s anointing on our writing? Simply by spending time with Him. Christianity is not a religion; it is a relationship. For a relationship to flourish, there must be constant communion. Unless we remain in continual communion with our Lord, we will wither as writers. But if we focus first on developing our relationship with Jesus, His anointing on our writing will flow as the natural outcome of that relationship.
When seeking to understand science and the universe, Albert Einstein once said, “I want to know how God created this world. I am not interested in this or that phenomenon, in the spectrum of this or that element. I want to know his thoughts. The rest are details.”

We should each picture Jesus next to us during all of our activities!! Driving our cars, parenting, shopping, teaching, etc. I wish to always keep that mental picture with me………….and we can turn to Him and ask His input for each of those activities AND our writing. What a great way to draw closer to the Lord and tap into what He has for our lives. Thank you!

When I first started blogging, I was concerned about having enough ideas. I’m still fairly new, but He’s been faithful to provide material.

How do you develop your relationship with the Holy Spirit?
This is an excellent question. The only way to develop a relationship with the Holy Spirit is first to be born again by receiving Jesus Christ as Your Savior and Lord. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus, and without a relationship with Jesus, you can have no relationship with His Holy Spirit.
If you have not yet received Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, I urge you to do so now by praying this prayer:
Lord Jesus, i acknowledge that I am a sinner and that You are the only Savior. I repent of my sin now. I turn away from it and ask Your to forgive me of all my sin. I choose to receive You now as my Savior and Lord. Make of me what You created me to be. Amen.
