Dear Power Writer,
In our last post, we discussed physical water. Today I’d like to discuss mental water. What is mental water?
Mental water is the mental intake of positive thoughts that hydrate your thinking toward what is good and holy.
Have you ever heard of dry thinking? Dry thinking, an expression I coined, is thinking that is stubborn, unyielding, and just plain negative. Dry thinking results in cracks in relationships, failures in careers, and unhealthy bodies. It also results in miserable lives.
Where do you get mental water? The best place is the Word of God. As you read God’s Word, you will be hydrating your thinking with God’s thoughts. Then, when you apply God’s way of thinking to your life, difficult situations will change for the better.
You can also get mental water from uplifting books. For years, I’ve made it a practice to read inspirational books on a regular basis. I encourage you to do the same. Reading such books has helped me tremendously in shifting negative paradigms to positive ones.
Next time, we’ll talk about spiritual water.
