Water and Writing – Part 3

Dear Power Writer,

You probably saw it coming. Today’s discussion will be on spiritual water. 🙂

Spiritual water is the prototype for mental and physical water. Spiritual water originates in God and flows as the River of Life from His throne into our spirits. Spiritual water is essential to our writing.

Where do we get spiritual water? We start with God’s Word. The Bible refers to our being “washed with the water of the Word” (Ephesians 5:26). The Word cleanses our hearts and our minds so that we can create writing that is pure in that it is true.

We also get spiritual water through prayer and communion with our Lord. As we spend time with Him in prayer, we drink of His wisdom and creativity.

Are you drinking enough spiritual water? If not, begin today. Without the water of the Word, our writing will lack life. Most of all, it will lack the anointing that breaks the yoke of bondage.

  1. LOL–I am still gagging over all the physical water, but I am TRYING to drink more! I’ve been carrying around a water bottle and sipping throughout the day since your first post. Now the mental and spiritual water seem to go down so much easier for me!
