Looking toward the Light

If your spirit is in tune with the Holy Spirit, you sense increasing darkness coming over the earth. Our Lord prophesied that this would occur. What does this coming darkness mean for us as writers?

For one thing, it means we need to focus on occupying till Christ returns. Whether He returns for His Church during our lifetime or not, we must continue to write for Him. Here are some tips to keep yourself focused:

1. Look up. Jesus said that when the darkness increases, we are to look up for our redemption draws near.

2. Pray up. Now is the time to deepen our relationship with the Lord. Spend time alone in His Presence. Become a part of a small group at your church. We need one another, especially as the days grow darker.

3. Stand up. In a world of compromise, stand up for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The true, unadultered, unwatered-down Gospel. Write about it. Let it shine through your stories, your poetry, your articles. This is our calling. To proclaim Jesus Christ, the Redeemer. The King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

  1. Hi Mary Ann –

When I see what’s happening, I realize I must write now. Our freedoms are eroding by the day. Your reminder to “occupy ’til I come,” is timely.

    Susan 🙂
