Confluence of the Arts

Dear Power Writers,

It seems as though the artistic gift often encompasses more than one dimension. Many writers are also artists and/or musicians. Perhaps you are one of them.

Since our Lord is calling us to reclaim the arts for His glory and for His purposes, I would like to invite you to share your other artistic talents with us. To get us started, I will post a couple of samples of my own artwork.

  1. Loved all the pictures- esp. the first one. It really spoke to me in this Easter season. I could see the light from the cross and the rolled-away stone!

  2. That’s wonderful! Thank you for sharing your art with us, as well as your writing!

I’ve been exceptionally blessed, and I know it. And I always think of the verse: “To whom much is given, of him much will be required.” I’m trying my best to use all the gifts the Lord has given me. I don’t have any artwork up on my website, but I do have music, in snatches…

Thank you for reminding us to use every gift that He has given us! As always, you’re a blessing!

  3. I’m impressed, Mary Ann! I am not a painter. Can’t draw, either, except small things on the sidewalk with chalk for my granddaughter. HA!

But you know, being creative in any format is good for your writing. Anytime we stretch our creative selves, we exercise the same part of the brain that comes up with ideas.

At least, that’s my theory … and I’m sticking to it!
