Years ago I heard a quote that has stuck with me. It goes like this: “A setback is a setup for a comeback!”
Are you experiencing a setback right now? In your life? In your writing? In your relationships? If so, take heart. You are simply being set up for a comeback.
You see, our enemy is out to steal, kill, and destroy God’s children and anything that concerns them. Once we become aware of this, we will recognize that the enemy is at work. Then we can deal with him as the Word says: “Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).
Our job is to submit and to resist. Once we’ve done those two things, the devil will flee. Not might flee. WILL flee! It’s a promise, a guarantee from God Himself.
So whatever you setback is today, it is only temporary. Our God is setting you up for a comeback. Be expectant. Your deliverance is at hand!
Thanks for the encouragement, MaryAnn! I heard a Christian speaker say that “setbacks are merely a stepping stone for triumph.” Have a blessed and triumphant day, everyone!

I believe God allows setbacks so we cling tighter to Him. But somedays, your hands hurt from holding on! 🙂
