Since this is the week just before my daughter’s wedding, I will not be posting as we complete last minute preparations. I will, however, include some photos of our recent vacation to Mohonk in New York State.
Mohonk is a 140-year-old hotel on the National Registry of Historic Hotels. It sits on a lovely lake on top of a mountain and offers breathtakingly beautiful sights as well as peace and rest. I hope you enjoy the photos.
Blessings,
MaryAnn
Mary Ann,
I’ve been thinking about you with joy, remembering that your daughter’s wedding is this weekend. Our son’s was two weeks ago and I knew the dates were close.
It was so great to be part of Bryce’s wedding day, enjoying it all with friends and family, but part of me wishes I could have “watched” the day, too. My “fresh” tip for a Mom in wedding mode is this: In the middle of it all, slightly “pull back” from time to time to “watch” with wonder, taking in the gift of the day. It’s over much too quickly. Thank goodness for the photo-journalist who captured the day in pictures.
God’s best to your daughter and her soon-to-be husband. I’m very happy for you. It’s a mom-thing.

Hi, Kim! What a wonderful surprise to hear from you! And thanks for the advice to “pull back” and “watch with wonder”. I will certainly take your advice to heart and so very much appreciate it.
Thanks for your good wishes and blessings for Peter and Lia. I extend the same to Bryce and his new bride.
Yes – it’s a “mom thing”. 🙂
