Articulating Your Vision

Scripture warns us that “where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18). Vision can be defined as a picture God gives to communicate His purpose.

God has given each of us a picture for our writing that is directly related to His purpose for our writing. My picture or vision for my writing is “to create stories that communicate Christ’s love and connect people to Him”. This, in fact, is part of the wording of my mission statement.

Have you yet discovered your writing vision? If so, I invite you to share it with us. Then we will take all of our individual visions and pray for one another that those visions will be fulfilled in our lives, for God’s glory and for the building of His Kingdom.

  1. The statement on my business cards is: Books for Children and Youth That Inspire and Entertain.

I want all my writing to be fun, interesting and uplifting. I want to give teens a good alternative in fantasy and younger children a great story that they’ll want to read over and over again.

I sent off 4 proposals in the last week, so we’ll see what happens! I’ll keep you posted.
