Carpe Diem! The Time to Write Is Now

It doesn’t take much to realize that we are living in the end times.  While we certainly do not know the exact day nor the hour of our Lord’s return, we do know that the morning headlines look very much like the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Since this is the case, we must take to heart now, more than ever, our Lord’s warning:  “I must do the work of the one who sent me while it is day. Night is coming, when no one can work.”  Applied to us as His writers, this warning means we must write now because the night is coming when we will not be permitted to write.

You may think that the concept of not being permitted to write is far-fetched. Yet, already the Christian element in our society is being censored in subtle ways.

So what are we to do? We are to fulfill the Great Commission our Lord gave us just before He ascended into Heaven: “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone” (Mark 16:15).  We are to go into all the world through the words we write and tell everyone within our circle of influence the good news that God is no longer angry with man, but that Jesus Christ has paid the full price for sin and reconnected man to God.  Man can now live forever because of Jesus Christ!

As our freedoms erode, we must seize the day, for the time is coming when there will be no more day to seize.
