Monday Makeover (Attitude): Self-Image & the Writer

What you think about yourself as a writer has a lot to do with your success as a writer. Thoughts are the seeds of success or failure. Whether you achieve success or failure depends on what thoughts you think.

As writers, we continually face choices regarding the thoughts we think about our writing. For example, when a rejection letter arrives, we are tempted to think thoughts of failure. But if we resist that temptation and replace the failure thought with a success thought, we will be propelling ourselves toward the success we desire.

This does not mean that we will achieve success just by thinking success. We must do the work necessary, of course. But if we do that work with a positive attitude, expecting that one day we will succeed if we do what it takes to succeed, we will, eventually, experience the success we worked so hard to attain.

  1. You never cease to encourage me, MaryAnn! You were the first one, all those years ago, who told me to call myself a writer. Thank you so much. 🙂

    • You are most welcome, dear Karen! I praise God for what He has done and continues to do through your writing. You are an inspiration and a great blessing. May our Lord continue to prosper the work of your heart and of your hands, for His glory and for the building of His Kingdom! 🙂

      Love and Blessings,
