Monday Makeover (Attitude): Running the Race to Win

Scripture tells us that he who enters a race enters it to win. Writing is a race, and if you’re like me, you entered it to win.  But what does winning mean?

From God’s perspective, winning means finishing the race. It doesn’t necessarily mean finishing first.  It simply means finishing and finishing well.  Each of us is assigned a writing race to run.  That race will look different for each of us.  We will encounter different obstacles along the way.  We will pass different areas of beauty along the way as well.  But for all of us, the race is designed for us to win it.

As we approach the new year, you will be able to start a new phase of your race.  What lies ahead, we do not know.  But one thing we do know for sure is that Jesus Christ is running the race with us.  And with Him at our side, we cannot help but win!

    • Thank you, dear Pat, for your post. You have the distinction of being the first person to post on my new blogsite. Congratulations! 🙂 Thank you also for your kind words and your friendship. I deeply appreciate both.
