(Business) What’s in it for God?

The world’s way and the Kingdom’s way stand at polar opposites.  The worldly writer will usually seek personal benefits from his writing: money, prestige, fame. The Christian writer, however, seeks first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.  The Christian writer asks, “What’s in it for God?”

This question should be at the foundation of the Christian writer’s business plan. Why? Because God owns the Christian writer’s business, and all decisions about it must be made by consulting the Owner first.

Are you struggling in your writing business? Perhaps one reason may be that you have not asked the foundational question: “What’s in my writing business that will glorify God first and foremost?”

As you pose this question and seek to answer it, you will discover that only by seeking to promote God first through your writing will you ultimately reap the blessings of great influence for Him and His Kingdom.
