Did you wake up this morning wondering what other horrible event occurred in the world overnight? Do you watch the news and think that things can’t possibly get any worse? Do you wonder how you are going to survive in a world that is going increasingly crazy?
If so, you are not alone.
Even those who are ignorant of Bible prophecy sense that our world is no longer “business as usual.” Instead, wrong is called right, evil is called good, and the lie is called the truth. Plain and simple, we’ve lost our way because we’ve chosen to get off the straight and narrow path.
So, how do those of us who want to stay on the straight and narrow path cope with a world that is putting up more and more obstacles to walking on that path?
Here are three eternal principles that are working for me. As you apply them to your life, they will work for you as well.
1–FAITH. Let your faith be only in God, never in man. Man can be deceived. Man can go astray. Man can be a dangerous leader. In John 2: 24, the Bible reveals Christ’s attitude toward man: “But Jesus didn’t trust them, because he knew human nature.”
2–HOPE. Never lose hope, no matter how bad things get. Hope is the undergirding of faith and essential to exercising faith. Jesus is our Hope (1 Timothy 1: 1).
3–LOVE. Never stop loving, no matter how unloveable a person may be. Love never fails (1 Corinthians 13: 8). The more we love, the more we become like God.
