Whenever I tell someone that Jesus is returning soon for His Bride, I usually get snickers and brush-offs. I have even had people get angry with me and call me “wacky.”
But their reactions, however nasty or clueless, do not change the fact that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will return one day for those of us who follow Him in an earth-shattering event called the Rapture. The Bible says so, and the Bible is true, no matter what we think.
Even if Jesus were not returning soon for those who love and follow Him, we never know when it’s our time to die. So, all of us must be ready at all times to meet our Lord—whether it’s in the Rapture or in our own physical death.
Numerous signs point to our Lord’s imminent return. Here are some of them:
___The increase in lawlessness;
___Wars and rumors of wars (Matthew 24: 6);
___Famines and earthquakes in various places (Matthew 24: 7);
___Many false teachers and prophets, some claiming they are the Messiah (Matthew 24: 11);
___A mass turning away from the faith, known as apostasy (Matthew 24: 10);
___Increased wickedness, rudeness, hatred, and violence (Matthew 24: 12);
___Great deception. Evil will be considered good and good will be considered evil (Matthew 24: 5; Romans 1: 28).
___Increase in disease and pestilence (Luke 21: 11). My husband is a physician, and he has noted that diseases exist today that he never heard of while in medical school.
Well, you may protest, these things have been happening since the beginning of time. Yes, you are right. But there is something different now. What is different is that these things are happening at an increasing rate with increasing velocity and all at the same time. Notice the all at the same time. This simultaneous occurrence of calamities is called convergence and is, in my opinion, the single clearest sign of the imminent return of Christ.
Jesus said this about Himself in Matthew 24: 33: “…when you see all these things, you can know his return is very near, right at the door.” “All these things” are coming to pass at the same time (convergence). Therefore, we can only conclude that our Lord’s return is very near. Are you ready to meet him? If not, go to this link to learn how accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord.
