Hello and Happy Day! This is Dr. MaryAnn Diorio, novelist and life coach, welcoming you to another episode of Winning with the Word. Today is Monday, June 20, 2022, and this is Episode #25 of Series 2022. This episode is titled “Are We Being Gaslighted?”
What is gaslighting? And what does it mean to gaslight people? It means to manipulate them by psychological means into doubting their own sanity.
Gaslighting is a malicious attempt to control people psychologically by giving them false information to make them think that what they believe is nonsense and that they are crazy for believing it. Gaslighting tries to get its victims to doubt what they know and believe is true about God, about the Bible, about others, and about themselves. Gaslighting attempts to thrust its victims into a confused state of doubting their perception, their memory, and even their mental health. Gaslighting even tries to make them think that they are going insane.
Gaslighting attacks a person at his very core, causing him to doubt his identity, his worth, his common sense, and his good judgment. If the gaslighting continues indefinitely, the victim will fall ever more deeply into the lie and become inescapably entrenched in it.
Gaslighting is another name for mind control or brainwashing. And this technique is being used by globalist leaders and politicians both in the United States and around the world. Sad to say, most people are oblivious to what is being done to them.
Gaslighting presents and pushes false narratives as truth. And whoever does not accept these false narratives is criticized, ridiculed, and even ostracized as being an enemy.
So, how, specifically, are we being gaslighted and by whom?
One of the chief–if not the chief–proponents of gaslighting is the World Economic Forum. This organization has been creating false narratives and presenting them as truth.
Here are some examples of false narratives being promulgated as true by the gaslighters of the World Economic Forum, headed up by Klaus Schwab, and by other globalist leaders:
1–The false narrative of clean energy, such as solar power and wind power. While the sun and the wind are, indeed, sources of power, they are not reliable sources of power nor are they clean sources of power. We cannot tell the sun when to shine, nor can we make the wind blow at will.
As Lucas Toh writes in an article titled “Let’s Come Clean” and dated October 26, 2021, “Environmentalists have been telling us that wind and solar mean cheaper, cleaner energy. They herald a future of electric vehicles quietly zipping around on electricity that created thousands of green jobs. If all of this is true, why are we suffering from a global energy crisis just months after adding record amounts of new renewable capacity?”
2–The false narrative that fossil fuels are destroying the planet with carbon emissions. That we need to get rid of gasoline-powered cars and, instead, drive electric cars that use lithium batteries which, truth be told, not only do not provide clean energy, but also destroy the environment in the process of obtaining the lithium to make the batteries.
The truth is that it is unethical to drive a lithium-powered car because entire mountains have to be destroyed to obtain a lithium supply. Check out a recent article by Ronald Stein titled “Is It Ethical to Purchase Lithium Battery-Powered EV” at the following link included in the print version of this post:
3–The false narrative that only government can solve the gaslighters’ deliberately and intentionally-created global crises. And, not only government, but global government. In other words, individual nations cannot solve their own problems. They must all band together to solve the world’s global problems. This does away with individual national sovereignty, protective borders, and national laws, making all three subject to global control.
4-The false narrative that digital currency–which will soon be in effect–is good for us because it is “inclusive” and will allow more people to participate in the economy–an economy in which, the globalists say, “we will own nothing and be happy”. What the World Economic Forum does not tell us, however, is that digital currency is the economic system by which the AntiChrist will soon control the world.
5-The false narrative that “upgrading” humans through Artificial Intelligence, or AI, is beneficial to the human race. After all, the human being that God created is not good enough. Talk about hubris!
6-The false narrative that a man can give birth and that there are multiple genders. The fact that many now believe this absurd lie is proof that gaslighting is working in our midst.
7-The false narrative that the state can do a better job of raising children than the child’s parents. That “it takes a village” to raise a child. No! It takes belief and trust in God and His Word to raise a child.
Notice that these false narratives eliminate nationalism, the bedrock of a nation’s individual identity. They cause conformity, rather than individuality, to reign supreme. Since we Christians are the ones who most oppose the globalist agenda, we are now being called “White Christian Nationalists”, equivalent to terrorists in the globalist mind, because we are faithful to God and to His Holy Word.
According to the Bible, God created the nations separate and distinct from one another. Although not the Christian’s highest priority–which, of course, is God Himself and His Kingdom–nationalism was God’s intent, as expressed in Isaiah 14: 1: “For the Lord will have compassion on Jacob and will again choose Israel, and will set them in their own land.” Israel had its own land, just as each of us has his own land. The concept of nationalism and the concept of private ownership of property are God’s ideas. In the Book of Revelation, chapter 8, verse 9, we learn that the concept of nations is an eternal one: “After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.”
Those who perpetrate gaslighting by pushing for the extermination of nationalism seek global power and control. If allowed to continue with their gaslighting over time, they will totally brainwash people to the point that people will totally believe their false narratives and their lies.
And that, tragically, is exactly what is happening not only here in America but also throughout the world.
Furthermore, the globalists tell us that if we are not on board with their false narratives, there is something wrong with us.
So, what can we do to combat gaslighting?
1. We must return to God and to His Word. His Word is Truth. Only when we know the Truth and apply it to our lives will we be free (John 8:32). The converse is that if we don’t know the truth and apply it to our lives, we will not be free.
2. We must push back against the lie. What the gaslighters need is pushback from those of us who know and stand up for Truth. Pushback works. The World Economic Forum removed from its Twitter feed the lie that “You will own nothing and be happy.” People did not like that statement and said so.
So, the World Economic Forum took note and took a step backward. But, don’t be fooled. They will now begin to deny that they ever made that comment in the first place. More gaslighting!
3. We must pray for the gaslighters, that they may come to know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The gaslighters themselves are being deceived by Satan and they are unwittingly advancing his end-time agenda.
The ultimate goal of gaslighting is to control and to enslave humanity. They are well on their way to doing just that. The Bible prophesied that they would temporarily succeed during the seven-year period known as the Tribulation.
Bottom line, there is only one way to combat gaslighting and that is to be sure that we know and hold on to Truth. The Bible says that Jesus Christ is Truth (John 14: 6). Not only is He Truth, He is also the only Way to be saved, and the One Who alone can give us eternal life.
When you know Jesus, you know Truth. And when you know Truth, you will be able to detect the false narratives of those who would seek to rob us of our freedom by any means, including gaslighting.
Make no mistake. The ultimate goal of the globalists is to rob us of our freedom and dignity as creations of God to whom He has given the privilege of choice.
What is your choice today? The first choice I urge you to make is to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. Please pray this simple prayer after me:
Lord Jesus, I desire to know Truth so that I will not be gaslighted, so that I will not be deceived. You alone are Truth. I repent of my sin, of believing the lie, and I ask You to forgive me. I receive You as my Savior and my Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Your Name I pray. Amen.
If you sincerely prayed this prayer, welcome to God’s family! Please write down today’s date. It is your spiritual birthday. And please write to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I would like to send you a free PDF booklet, titled After You’re Born Again. This booklet will help you to get started in your walk with Jesus.
I also encourage you to get yourself a Bible and read it every single day. The Bible is God’s love letter to you, His manual for your life. In the Bible, God reveals Who He is, and He teaches you how to live.
Finally, ask the Lord to lead you to a true Remnant Church where you can learn Truth and experience fellowship and encouragement with other Christ-Followers. It is critically important in these last days to fellowship with other believers who are mature in Christ and who can guide you as you grow in Him.
