Hello and Happy Day! This is Dr. MaryAnn Diorio, novelist and life coach, welcoming you to another episode of Winning with the Word. Today is Monday, April 18, 2022, and this is Episode #16 of Series 2022. This episode is titled “Heaven or Hell? Your Choice.”

Perhaps no time in history has been as crazy as our time. Never before in human history have large numbers of people not known the difference between a man and a woman. Never before in human history have we encouraged perverse sexual activity among our children. Never before in human history have we, as a nation, so brazenly exalted evil.

If we think that we will get away with this, we are sorely mistaken.

While God is certainly merciful, He is also just. And those who do not repent of their sin will, eventually, experience His justice that will come in the form of His fierce wrath.

To those who think they can continue in their sin, the Bible gives this warning in Galatians 6: 7 AMP: “Do not be deceived. God is not mocked [He will not allow Himself to be ridiculed, nor treated with contempt nor allow His precepts to be scornfully set aside]; for whatever a man sows, this and this only is what he will reap.”

Are you willing to take the risk of mocking God? Of making Him out to be a fool Who looks the other way at your sin? Of thinking you will escape His punishment because He hasn’t punished you so far?

Think again, my friend. You are treading on dangerous ground that soon will sink beneath your feet, open up, and  figuratively, if not literally, swallow you whole.

You think it can’t happen? Then read the account of Korah in the Book of Numbers, chapter 16, verses 1-40. Korah was the infamous man who was swallowed alive, with his entire family, when he rebelled against Moses in the wilderness. If God did not spare Korah and his family in their rebellion, why do you think he will spare you?

Sin is serious business in God’s eyes. And it should be in yours as well.

If you are in rebellion against God and His Word, repent now and ask God to forgive you. When you do, He will show you His other side: His mercy side. More than anything, God wants to show you His merciful side. But He cannot do so unless and until you acknowledge your sin, repent of it, and ask His forgiveness.

So, why not do that now? What are you waiting for? Remember, if you don’t acknowledge your sin and repent of it, you will experience God’s justice and wrath. In practical terms, this means you will go to Hell when you die.

But, if you acknowledge your sin, repent of it, and ask God to forgive you, you will experience God’s mercy and grace. In practical terms, this means you will go to Heaven when you die.

So, my friend, what is your choice? Heaven or Hell? Mercy or Justice? Grace or Wrath?

The choice is yours. You can make that choice right now by praying with me. Just repeat after me:

Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner. I acknowledge my sin before You. I recognize that my sin put You on that Cross where You died for me. I repent of my sin, and I ask You to forgive me. I invite You into my life now. I receive You now as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for saving me. Lead me to a good church with a good pastor who preaches Your Word without compromise. Make me what You created me to be, O God. Amen.

If you sincerely prayed this prayer, welcome to God’s family! Please write down today’s date. It is your spiritual birthday. And please write to me at drmaryann@maryanndiorio.com. I would like to send you a free PDF booklet, titled After You’re Born Again. This booklet will help you to get started in your walk with Jesus.

I also encourage you to get yourself a Bible and read it every single day. The Bible is God’s love letter to you, His manual for your life. In the Bible, God reveals Who He is, and He teaches you how to live.

Finally, ask the Lord to lead you to the church of His choice for you where you can learn about Him and have fellowship and encouragement with other Christ-Followers. It is critically important in these last days to fellowship with other believers who are mature in Christ and who can guide you as you grow in Him.

If you did not pray this prayer with me, please reconsider. Jesus Christ is coming back soon to remove from the world all those who follow Him. The rest of the world’s population will be left behind and will face the most horrific time in human history under the dictatorship of the AntiChrist. If you don’t believe me, do your own research.

Thousands of years ago, the Bible predicted exactly what is happening in our world today. Everything is coming to pass exactly as the Bible predicted. The Bible has never been wrong. I have been following Jesus for 52 years, and He has never failed me. Nor will he ever fail you if you choose to follow Him.

I urge you: Follow Jesus. Accept Him into your life. He is the only way to be saved.

Have you ever been in a situation where you just didn’t know what to do? You feel overwhelmed, confused, paralyzed. There are so many choices before you, you’re afraid of making the wrong one. Or there is only one right choice before you, and you don’t like what it looks like.

Having been in this kind of situation, I can relate. But I also can share what I learned that might help you when facing seemingly impossible situations when you just don’t know what to do.

1. PRAY.  We may not know what to do, but God always does. So when we ask Him for wisdom about how to handle a situation, He will always grant us wisdom. He promises us as much in James 1: 5: If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.”

2. BELIEVE. No matter how difficult our situation may seem, God always comes through for us when we believe that He will.  When it looked as though Jairus’ daughter had died, Jesus said to him, “Don’t be afraid. Just believe, and she will be healed” (Luke 8: 50). And the child was raised back to life!

3. TRUST. When we ask God for help, we must believe that He will help us. Psalm 46: 1 assures us that God is “always ready to help in times of trouble.”  As we focus on this truth and not on our circumstances, we will discover that God will show us what to do when we don’t know what to do.

Now, it’s YOUR turn:  What do you do when you don’t know what to do?  Please leave a comment in the box below.

5 Questions to Ask Yourself When Making Tough Decisions

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines
the course of your life.” ~ Proverbs 4:23
______________________________________

Jim had just been offered a much-desired promotion. But the job advancement required moving his family to a new state.

Taking the job, however, would mean more pay, a more fulfilling career, and a new location that sounded exciting. Everything pointed to a great opportunity. But his gut told him no. What should he do?

Girl with a choice near the forked road

Perhaps you find yourself in a situation like Jim’s. You’re facing a tough decision, and you don’t know what to do.  Here are a five questions to ask yourself regarding each fork in the road:

1–Does it violate the Word of God in any way? If it does, it is the wrong decision. If it does not, go to step 2.

2–Does the decision give me peace in my heart? If it does not, it is the wrong decision. If it does, go to step 3.

3–Will my decision glorify God, or will my decision glorify me? If your decision will not bring glory to God, it is the wrong decision. If it will bring glory to God, go to step 4.

4–Have I considered the needs of my family in making this decision? If you have not, then you need to. Once you have your family’s support (Notice: I did not say excitement about your decision but support for your decision), then go to step 5.

5–Am I willing to accept God’s will whether I like it or not? If no, then check your heart. If yes, then prayerfully proceed with the decision you believe God is leading you to make.

In every decision we face, our Lord has promised to teach us the way to go (Psalm 32: 8). So, trust Him to keep His promise to you, and you will make the right decision.
