How to Live Forever

Hello and Happy Dat! This is Dr MaryAnn Diorio, Novelist and Life Coach, coming to you today with not only another episode of Winning with the Word but also my last episode of Winning with the Word. As I approach my 80th birthday, the Holy Spirit has instructed me to begin a new phase of life and ministry serving Him primarily through the writing of transformational fiction.

And now, on to this week’s final message, titled “How to Live Forever.”

The world is on the move toward living forever. Artificial Intelligence seems to be leading the way in inventing and establishing ways whereby humanity can avoid death and live forever. Neuro-links are being developed for the brain that, scientists, hope, will lengthen human life on this earth and even make it permanent. What the world doesn’t know, however, is that God has already created a plan whereby we can live forever. This plan is called the Plan of Redemption.

God originally created man to live forever. But sin thwarted that plan and introduced death into the universe. Yet God, in His infinite love, sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to reverse death and to restore His original plan for humanity—the plan whereby we could live forever.

But God put a condition on that plan. The only way humanity could experience a total restoration to eternal life would be by accepting the substitutionary sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Accepting Christ involves a decision to do so. The fundamental question of the universe is What you will do with Jesus Christ?. That decision alone, more than any other, affects your eternal destiny.

Now, you may not believe a word of what I’m saying. However, my friend, whether you believe something or not does not make it true or false. God has already established what is true and what is false. Our job is to align ourselves with His dictum of what is true and what is false. When we reuse to align ourselves with God’s determination of what is true and what is false, and determine for ourselves what is true and what is false, we make ourselves our own gods. And that, my friend, is the most dangerous thing you can do.

That said, God has established that the only way to be saved is by believing I and accepting that Jesus Christ is the Savior of humanity. Jesus Himself said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14: 6). This clearly means that the only way to get to Heaven is by accepting the truth that we are all sinners in need of a Savior, that Jesus Christ became a man and came to earth as that Savior, that He died on a Cross to take the punishment for our sin, and then rose from the dead and overcame sin. This glorious message is called “the Good News.” Those who believe it and accept it will be saved. Those who do not believe it and refuse to accept it will not be saved. It is as simple and profound as that.

One day soon, Jesus Christ will return as He promised to remove from the earth all those who follow Him. When that day comes, those who do not follow Him will be left behind to endure hell on earth under the brutal dictatorship of the AntiChrist and, unless they turn to Christ, hell for all eternity.

As the Lord closes down this blog and moves me onward, I want to urge you to accept Jesus Christ as your own personal Savior and Lord. All you have to do is follow the ABCs of salvation:

A = ADMIT that you are a sinner.
B = BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is the only Savior, that He died to pay the price for your sin, and that He rose from the dead.
C = CONFESS Him aloud as your Savior and Lord.

If you take these three simple steps, you will be saved.
