The topics are things that are usually interesting for little ones. MaryAnn includes poems about snow, animals, and even a group of animals playing instruments. The book also has sweet illustrations that small children will enjoy. 5.0 out of 5 starsSo cute! September 3, 2018 Format: Paperback I ordered two of these. I sent one to a niece and nephew coming soon and another to a nephew and just born niece. The little ones LOVE them. My one niece keeps opening the book up to her favorite page and laughing at the adorable drawing of a dog. She loves the book, drawings and when her mommy reads her the poems. I am quite sure that all 4 little ones will grow up with this being one of their favorite books! And the mommies will not mind reading these short fun poems to their little ones!

The poems in MaryAnn Diorio's book are simple yet captivating and are wonderful for the bedtime routine, or for an afternoon read for the little minds' delights! Valeria Wicker's illustrations are the perfect compliment to each verse as they are also quite captivating, detailed and bright. My 6 nieces and nephews under the age of 2 will all be getting a copy for Christmas! Much like Mother Goose brings back memories of my childhood and quiet times of reading and day dreaming with my mother, Poems for Wee Ones will do the same for this young generation! My six-month old and I both love reading Poems for Wee Ones. It's charming and sweet and fun to read aloud. With beautiful illustrations and so many poems, I don't get tired of reading this book. Also, since my daughter is still so young, it's nice sometimes to just be able to read a few poems when she doesn't have the patience to sit through an entire book. Highly recommend for anyone with young children, nephews/nieces, or grandkids to read to!
