Have You Lost All Hope?

A we begin a new year, we should have hope for the future. Yet most people today—at least most people in my circle of influence—are not looking to 2026 with hope. Some, in fact, are in despair.
Perhaps this describes you. Perhaps you have lost all hope about the future. You look around you and see the world falling apart. And, sad to say, you are right.
But just because everything around us seems to be falling apart, it doesn’t mean that we have to fall apart. In fact, I want you to know that there is hope for you. But you will not find that hope in anything in this world. You will find it only in Jesus Christ.
The Bible describes Jesus Christ as “the God of hope” (Romans 6: 14). Hebrews 6: 19 describes hope as “an anchor of the soul.” What an interesting image! Hope is an anchor for the soul. When we have hope, our soul has an anchor. We don’t drift on the sea of fear and confusion. We are tethered to something unchangeable that will protect us in the midst of every storm.
If you lack hope today, I encourage you to turn to Jesus Christ. He will restore your hope, for He is Hope itself. He will give you a future full of hope and an eternity where your hope will be fulfilled completely in Him.
Pray this simple prayer with me;
Lord Jesus, I have no hope for the future. So I turn to You because You are Hope. I look to You to restore my hope. I invite You into my life to be my Savior, my Lord, and my Hope. Thank You for saving me. Amen.
